DRIFT

The first of a series of works about time, Drift, is a sort of tribute to André Breton, french writer, poet, and known for being the co-founder, leader, and principal theorist and chief of the surrealism movement. He speaks about the wait, expectation, as a state of absolute grace, a state that can lead to the unknown, the research of a mysterious and invisible reality.

«Regardless of what happens, does not happen, it's the waiting that is beautiful » L’amour fou , Andre Breton.

Drift is spontaneous, ephemeral, a loophole in time. The creation was inspired by automatic writing, a method developed by the surrealists, aiming to free people’s mind from false rationality, and restrictive customs and structures, allowing the mind to express without limits, escaping all sens of logic.

« I believe in the future resolution of these two apparently contradictory states, which are dream and reality, in a kind of absolute reality, of surreality. »

Manifestes du surréalisme, Andre Breton
